Deutschland-Semesterticket

Students at participating universities in Schleswig-Holstein receive the Deutschlandticket as a semesterticket. The Deutschland-Semesterticket has replaced the Semesterticket Schleswig-Holstein since the wintersemester 2024/2025

Participating universities:

• Kiel (CAU, FH (UAS), Muthesius Kunsthochschule (Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design)),
• Lübeck (Uni, TH (UAS), Musikhochschule (Academy of Music)) and
• Flensburg (Europa-Universität, Hochschule (UAS)).

Good to know: The price increase of the Deutschlandticket on Jan 1st 2025 will not take effect for the Deutschland-Semesterticket until the wintersemester 2025/2026. This means that the semesterticket fee will remain unchanged at all participating universities up to and including the summersemester 2025.

The Semesterticket at a glance

• The Semesterticket must be ordered free of charge. The student ID card is not valid as a travel authorization.
• The Semesterticket is always valid for one semester. It must be reordered each semester because the student status must be checked each semester.
• Order your Semesterticket in good time so that you always have yout valid ticket to hand. It is possible to order from 6 weeks before the start of the semester. No refunds are possible for tickets purchased otherwise. 
• An order can only be placed if the semester contribution has been paid in full and the payment has been processed by the university's system. Payment processing may take up to two weeks. Only then ordering is possible. If you receive an error message, please try again in a few days.
• By decision of the government, the Deutschlandticket –and thus also the Semesterticket– is a digital ticket that we provide as a practical mobile ticket for Android (version 8.0 or higher) and iOS (version 14.5 or higher): It can be loaded into the NAH.SH app directly after ordering and is usually available within 30 minutes. Users of Huawei devices can download the semester ticket via the DB Navigator (menu item „Travel“ and then select the plus symbol). We ask for your understanding that due to legal requirements, the Semesterticket cannot be issued as a paper ticket.

How to order the Semesterticket

• You already have the Semesterticket and would like to extend it to the following semester?
  Place your order as you did last time – use the order portal for the Deutschland-Semesterticket (link at the bottom of this page). After ordering, check the ticket number in the order condirmation email:
  • Do you have the same ticket number as your current Semesterticket? Perfect! Your Semesterticket will then be automatically loaded into the NAH.SH-app on the first day of the term. You can see this from about 10 days before the start of the semester: On the third page of the mobile ticket, you will then see a message that the ticket for the following month has been loaded, but it will only be visible from the first day of the semester.
  • If the order confirmation contains a different ticket number, the Semesterticket must be loaded new into the NAH.SH app. In order to be able to use your current mobile ticket until the end of its validity period, you should only load your new Semesterticket into the NAH.SH app at the start of the semester, as only one semester ticket can be loaded into the app at a time.
    
• You are a first-semester student.
  You can request your Semesterticket quickly and easily via the order portal for the Deutschland-Semesterticket (link at the bottom of this page). First-semester students from the following universities can only order on the first day of the semester (depending on the university Sept 1st/Oct 1st respectively Mar 1st/Apr 1st): CAU Kiel, FH Kiel, TH Lübeck, EUF Flensburg, HS Flensburg. The reason for this is that, for legal reasons, the university systems can not be unlocked before this date.
